Valiant Integrated Services is seeking a Joint Exercise Support Team (JEST) Planner to support the Joint Event Support Team Lead (JEST Lead) in providing comprehensive planning, management, liaison, and coordination for assigned exercises and events. This role is critical in ensuring the successful execution of joint training systems and special projects. The JEST Planner will act as an alternate point of contact to the JS J7 Joint Exercise Division Desk Officer and/or Event Planner, facilitating contractor support for various exercises and events. The responsibilities of the JEST Planner include building exercise planning schedules, forecasting labor and travel needs, assisting in the development of exercise/event budgets, and monitoring the progress of the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC). The planner will also be responsible for developing and maintaining the team calendar, coordinating team member assignments, and assisting functional area planners as required. A deep understanding of the supported organization, JELC processes, and contract deliverables is essential for the successful design, planning, preparation, execution, and assessment of exercises and events. Additionally, the JEST Planner will facilitate exercise meetings, conferences, and workgroup sessions, and will be required to travel to various locations within the supported organization's area of responsibility. This position demands a high level of organizational skills, as well as the ability to prepare and conduct seminars and training sessions for both large and small groups. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, along with strong written and oral communication abilities. Candidates must have a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree, with a minimum of 11 years of combined education and relevant experience, including at least seven years of experience in service and joint doctrine operations. Experience with exercises at levels comparable to Joint Task Force, Army Corps, Numbered Air Forces, and Numbered Fleet is required, particularly in the planning, design, execution, and assessment of such exercises. The ability to travel unassisted to both CONUS and OCONUS locations is also necessary, along with a current Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
