About the position

As a Joint Interface and Network Operations Specialist at Inflow, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Standoff Munitions Application Center (SMAC) within the Joint-Global Strike Operations Center (J-GSOC) at Barksdale AFB, LA. This position is contingent upon award and is expected to commence on September 12th, 2024. Your primary responsibilities will include providing Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) and limited non-A&AS support to enhance the operational capabilities of the SMAC forces. You will function as a technical expert and advisor to leadership on the operation, maintenance, and configuration of the air and space Common Tactical Picture (CTP). This role requires you to maintain CTP Manager qualifications and provide advanced operational training and advice through various methods, including classroom instruction, demonstrations, and one-on-one training sessions. In addition to training, you will establish and maintain effective working relationships with supported theater Joint Information Coordination Officers (JICOs) and Joint Task Force (JTF) Joint Data Network Officers (JDNO). You will manage Tactical Data Link (TDL) equipment, ensuring compatibility and relevance for integration with all Air Operations Center (AOC) weapon system requirements. Your responsibilities will also include planning and coordinating operations for SMAC TDLs, maintaining currency on datalink requirements, and assisting in the development of tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) for TDL utilization in support of SMAC operations. You will provide on-site Tactical Datalink expertise to ensure government systems function according to military standards and current operating procedures. Furthermore, you will assist in planning for both kinetic and non-kinetic employment of standoff capabilities, including the production of weapon routes for government approval. Your role will involve formulating, integrating, analyzing, presenting, and coordinating plans in accordance with government specifications as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will also advise and assist government personnel with deliberate and dynamic targeting development, planning, and execution, while performing other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Support providing Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) and limited non-A&AS support to SMAC forces.
  • Function as SMAC Joint Data Network Manager technical expert/advisor to leadership.
  • Maintain CTP Manager qualification and provide advanced operational training and advice.
  • Establish and maintain effective work relationships with SMAC supported theater JICOs and JTF JDNOs.
  • Manage Tactical Data Link (TDL) Equipment and ensure compatibility with AOC weapon system requirements.
  • Plan and coordinate operations for SMAC TDLs and maintain currency on datalink requirements.
  • Assist SMAC with developing TTPs for TDL utilization in support of operations.
  • Maintain currency on current and future all domain collaborative capabilities.
  • Provide on-site Tactical Datalink expertise to ensure government systems function according to MILSTD.
  • Assist with planning for kinetic and non-kinetic employment of standoff capabilities.
  • Formulate, integrate, analyze, present, and coordinate plans as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Advise and assist government personnel with targeting development, planning, and execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or five (5) years of relevant military service.
  • Three (3) years of experience as a JICO within an air operations center (AOC) or similar operations center.
  • Graduate of the JICO Training Course (JT-301).
  • Possess one of the applicable service specialty codes: USAF 13B, USMC 7202, 7210, 5970, USN 6120, 7120, USA 140AT2, 255N.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Relevant experience with real world or contingency planning/executing TDL during operations.
