About the position
The Senior Joint Target Analyst is responsible for developing targets and target systems for joint lethal and non-lethal engagements. This role involves producing all-source analytic damage estimates, conducting collateral damage estimations, and providing joint target intelligence support to both deliberate and dynamic target engagements. The analyst will work closely with various military and intelligence components to ensure effective targeting strategies that align with commander objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop target nominations and create database records for target intelligence products.
- Produce all-source analytic damage estimates and battle damage assessments.
- Conduct collateral damage estimation and perform target list management.
- Provide joint target intelligence support to deliberate and dynamic target engagements.
- Assist with long-range planning and writing JTI material for plans and orders.
- Develop materials and conduct on-the-job training for personnel as required.
- Provide recommendations for target prioritization to achieve commander objectives.
- Assist with JTI support to dynamic targeting and target enterprise management.
- Produce joint target materials including Target System Analysis and Battle Damage Assessments.
- Use intelligence tools and conduct target systems analysis to provide recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and eight years of relevant experience, with some experience within the last two years.
- Demonstrated ability to gather, evaluate, and synthesize multiple sources of information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to communicate complex issues clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of IC and DoD classification guidelines and procedures.
Nice-to-haves
- 12 years of experience related to the specific labor category with recent experience.
- Master's degree in a related area from an accredited institution.
