About the position

The Joint Training Program Manager position at USSPACECOM involves conducting training development and management duties to support the command's force development responsibilities. The role requires planning, developing, and executing training activities, establishing program goals, and coordinating with subject matter experts to meet training requirements. The position is non-supervisory and eligible for telework, focusing on enhancing training policies and practices within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and execute Command training activities.
  • Establish learning systems program goals and objectives, including course design and development strategies.
  • Coordinate with Directorate SMEs and training personnel to determine training and professional development requirements.
  • Manage Command-level training projects from development to execution and sustainment.
  • Advise Command and Directorate leaders on training policy, procedures, programs, and methods.
  • Develop strategic training policy and doctrine independently.
  • Justify and present budgetary and acquisition processes and actions.
  • Lead the identification and development of training/education shortfalls and deliverables.
  • Sustain and grow the network of military and civilian education institutions.
  • Coordinate professional development and collaborative opportunities for USSPACECOM personnel.

Requirements

  • Experience at the next lower broadband/grade level in relevant training management duties.
  • Mastery knowledge of joint training principles, concepts, and practices.
  • Skilled in evaluating issues and analyzing data to develop solutions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in standard research tools and office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively with leadership.
