As a Journalist at Lawelawe, you will play a crucial role in content development, interviews, photography, and editorial review of material. You will be expected to maintain situational awareness of United States policy and events in the SOUTHCOM area of responsibility, ensuring that you are up-to-date with current developments in the region. This will enable you to coordinate and produce content that is relevant and timely for various websites. In this position, you will ensure that all site content is approved, monitor feature and word counts, and make recommendations to achieve high customer satisfaction while adhering to site content budget constraints. You will also contribute to periodic reviews and reports as requested by the Contracting Officer Representative (COR). Additionally, you will advise customers on emerging web trends and monitor the growth of internet technologies within the SOUTHCOM area to recommend technological improvements to websites. Your expertise in web metrics and social media will be essential in this role, as you will be expected to leverage these skills to enhance the visibility and effectiveness of the content produced.
