About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a crucial role in the recruitment process by sourcing, screening, and presenting qualified candidates to hiring managers. This position is designed to promote a positive candidate experience while supporting various recruiting and talent initiatives. The specialist will be responsible for establishing and nurturing relationships with passive candidates, universities, technical schools, and industry groups to build a robust talent pipeline. In this role, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will manage the entire recruitment process for assigned positions, utilizing an applicant tracking system (ATS) to post requisitions, manage candidate activities, schedule interviews, and screen applicants. A key aspect of this position is to ensure a positive candidate experience by maintaining close contact with candidates through phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings as needed. The specialist will also implement effective sourcing strategies to attract passive candidates and create professional networks for future talent acquisition. Additionally, the specialist will coach facility hiring managers on effective screening and selection techniques, ensuring timely candidate feedback and striving to create a positive candidate experience through follow-up calls and surveys. The role involves calculating recruitment metrics such as yield ratios, time-to-fill, and cost per hire, while maintaining records of recruitment activities to derive return on investment (ROI). The Talent Acquisition Specialist will also assist with ad hoc recruitment efforts, represent the company at job fairs and professional events, and demonstrate excellent customer service and a positive attitude throughout the recruitment process.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the start-to-finish recruitment process for assigned positions utilizing the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Promote a positive candidate experience by maintaining close contact with candidates through various communication methods.
  • Perform effective sourcing strategies to find and attract passive candidates and build talent pipelines.
  • Create and maintain professional networks for future talent acquisition.
  • Leverage external job board service providers and partners for recruitment efforts.
  • Coach facility hiring managers on effective screening and selection techniques.
  • Ensure timely candidate feedback and conduct follow-up calls/surveys to enhance candidate experience.
  • Assist with calculating recruitment metrics and maintain records on recruitment activities.
  • Support ad hoc facility-based recruitment initiatives as requested.
  • Represent the company professionally at job fairs and professional events.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Two or more years of experience recruiting within the healthcare sector, preferably in skilled nursing or clinical sourcing.
  • Two or more years of sourcing experience using platforms like Indeed and LinkedIn Recruiter.
