About the position

Weyerhaeuser is seeking a Journey Level Mechanic for its Export Facility in Longview, WA. This full-time, hourly position involves working with various mechanical systems, including welding, fabrication, and machine maintenance. The role requires flexibility in shift work and a commitment to safety, as it is designated as a safety-sensitive position. Responsibilities

• Perform welding and fabrication tasks.
• Conduct general machine assembly and alignment.
• Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair high voltage systems, preferably LeTourneau.
• Perform maintenance and repair on mill yard stackers and shovels.
• Read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints.
• Manage multiple projects effectively.
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks.
• Adapt to work across various job boundaries.
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills and jobs.
• Communicate effectively and treat all employees with respect.
• Work collaboratively as part of a team.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Solid work history with 5 years of previous mechanic experience.
• Ability to work safely and adhere to log yard safety procedures.
• Availability to work all shifts.
• Ability to successfully complete a physical, drug screen, and background check.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with LeTourneau high voltage systems is preferred.
• General mill yard stacker and shovel maintenance experience is a plus.
