About the position

The Journeyman Database Administrator at Leidos is responsible for designing, structuring, and maintaining databases within the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment environment. This role involves collaboration with senior database administrators to ensure data integrity, develop operational guidelines, and enhance database functionalities. The position is integral to supporting the Army Program Executive Office customers by delivering innovative database solutions in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and structure databases in the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment environment.
  • Produce documentation and operational guidelines for database management.
  • Model and design relational database architecture for the Enterprise Business Solutions - Convergence program.
  • Create metadata and repositories for effective data management.
  • Utilize data mapping, data mining, and transformational analysis tools to develop databases.
  • Enter and review data within the database to ensure user data integrity.
  • Maintain database support tools, tables, and dictionaries.
  • Implement recovery and backup procedures for database systems.
  • Collaborate with senior database administrators and project managers to develop technical solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with technical staff on the EBS-C program.

Requirements

  • BS degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience (4-8 years of prior relevant experience).
  • Deep understanding of technical principles, theories, and concepts related to database administration.
  • Ability to apply knowledge across related specialty areas relevant to EBS-C.
  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of EBS-C and experience with SAP/ERP migrations to the Cloud.
  • Practical application of SAFe principles for building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
