About the position

The Journeyman Database Administrator at Leidos is responsible for administering, testing, and implementing computer databases with limited supervision. This role is crucial for supporting the Secretary of the Air Force's Concepts, Development, Management Office customers, and offers opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Administers, tests, and implements computer databases under limited supervision from more senior technical personnel.
• Applies knowledge of database management systems and coordinates changes to computer databases.
• Identifies, investigates, and resolves database performance issues, database capacity, and database scalability.
• Plans, coordinates, and implements security measures to safeguard MPE computer databases.
• Assists other database administrators and technical staff in the performance of tasks and assignments.

Requirements

• Current Secret level clearance.
• Ability to apply DBA methodologies to Operations, Maintenance and Sustainment (OM&S) of Mission Partner Environments (MPE).
• Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of prior relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree - Candidate may substitute additional years of experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of BICES-X or other MPE Programs.
• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years' experience.
