We are currently seeking a Journeyman Database Administrator to join our team in Morgantown, WV, Charlottesville, VA, Bridgewater, VA, or Arlington, VA. This role is ideal for individuals with 4-8 years of hands-on experience who are looking to grow with the company. As part of a dynamic group dedicated to providing exceptional support and products to our Army Program Executive Office customers, you will have the opportunity to work directly with clients and develop your skills in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. In this position, you will collaborate with Senior and Subject Matter Expert Database Administrators to design, structure, and produce documentation for the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) environment. Your responsibilities will include database modeling and design, relational database architecture, and the creation of metadata and repositories for the Enterprise Business Solutions - Convergence program. You will utilize data mapping, data mining, and data transformational analysis tools to design and develop databases, ensuring user data integrity and maintaining database support tools, tables, and dictionaries. This role requires you to work independently or as part of a team to achieve daily goals under the guidance of the ERB-C Solutions Architect or Subject Matter Expert Database Administrator. As a Journeyman Database Administrator, you will also be responsible for developing recommended technical solutions through collaboration with Senior and SME Database Administrators, Solutions Architects, and Project Managers. Your ability to communicate effectively with other technical staff on the EBS-C program will be crucial to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Design and structure documentation for the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment environment.
  • Perform database modeling and design, including relational database architecture.
  • Create metadata and repositories for the Enterprise Business Solutions - Convergence program.
  • Utilize data mapping, data mining, and data transformational analysis tools to design and develop databases.
  • Enter and review data within the database, ensuring user data integrity.
  • Maintain database support tools, tables, and dictionaries, and implement recovery and backup procedures.
  • Make recommendations regarding enhancements and improvements within an Agile SAFe environment.
  • Work independently or as part of the database team to achieve day-to-day goals.
  • Develop recommended technical solutions in collaboration with Senior and SME Database Administrators, Solutions Architects, and Project Managers.
  • Communicate effectively with other technical staff on the EBS-C program.

Requirements

  • BS degree and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Deep understanding of and ability to apply principles, theories, and concepts of technical domain.
  • Broad understanding of other related specialty areas applicable to EBS-C.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • CompTIA Security certification required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of EBS-C.
  • Experience conducting SAP/ERP migrations or other Database Applications to the Cloud.
  • Practical application of SAFe principles to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
