About the position

The Journeyman Electrician position at ACS Commercial Services LLC is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in both residential and commercial settings. This role supports the achievement of customer business goals through effective maintenance practices and compliance with safety regulations. The position includes the provision of a company vehicle, fuel, and a cell phone, along with various paid time off benefits.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand and power tools.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Work on both residential and commercial new installs and remodeling jobs.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, ensuring compliance with codes.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs to facilities and scheduled maintenance repairs of facilities.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on facilities.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.

Requirements

• 2+ years of Electrical Journeyman License
• High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
• Strong background in at least two of the following skill sets: Electrical, Plumbing, Drywall Repairs, Painting, Flooring, General Carpentry, Locks.
