About the position

The Journeyman Electrician position involves working on the 2nd shift at an automotive production facility. The role requires a state journeyman's card and focuses on the installation, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electrical services and equipment. The electrician will work with both high- and low-voltage systems and must adhere to safety regulations, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, maintain or alter electrical services, equipment and controls.
• Work with high- and low-voltage systems to troubleshoot and repair.
• Maintain work area and equipment in safe, efficient, and clean operating conditions.
• Report to supervisor any equipment in need of repair or any unsafe situation or condition.
• Operate all hand/power tools, test instruments, and equipment normally used by this trade and maintain/return them in good condition.
• Assist in performing other duties, including work of other trades as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Journeyman Electrical License.
• Valid state driver's license in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years trade experience (trade license preferred).
• Superior customer service skills and orientation.
• Ability to maintain professionalism under stressful situations.
• Ability to multi-task and work without direct supervision.
• Attention to detail is a must; CMMS and/or database experience is a plus.
• Ability to plan and manage work under time constraints.
• Strong organizational skills and collaborative style.
