About the position

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Electrician to join our team. This role involves installing, maintaining, and renovating electrical systems in various settings, ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical systems, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, while also demonstrating excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to determine layout and installation procedures.
• Utilize voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other testing devices to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.
• Work with logic controllers and other automated systems to ensure optimal functionality.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople on renovation projects that may require frame carpentry skills.
• Ensure all work complies with local codes and regulations as well as NEC standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

• Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent experience as an industrial electrician.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding electrical schematics.
• Strong knowledge of electrical theory, NEC regulations, and safety practices.
• Experience using testing equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters.
• Ability to perform physical tasks associated with the trade, including lifting heavy materials and working in various environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting electrical systems.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
