About the position

The Insulator Technician position at CCI Industrial Services involves performing routine insulation tasks on pipes, vessels, tanks, and other equipment. This role is integral to driving the company's mission, vision, and values, focusing on safety, innovation, and excellence in service delivery. The technician will be responsible for fabricating, installing, and maintaining various insulation systems while ensuring compliance with safety protocols and representing the company professionally.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe work environment.
• Fabricate, install, and maintain various insulation systems on pipes, vessels, tanks, and other equipment.
• Modify prefabricated insulation kits for special purposes by fabricating or altering blankets, shaping foam, or cutting and forming sheet metal jackets.
• Properly use and care for tools and equipment commonly employed on industrial jobs such as bending brakes, band saws, and banding tools.
• Participate in CCI's STEPBACK safety program and comply with various Client's safety programs.
• Assist in loading and unloading of material and equipment for mobilization, ensuring knowledge of load securement practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3 years of insulation experience.
• TWIC card to be obtained upon hire if contract required.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Ability to analyze and handle problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Basic knowledge of insulation materials, supports, moisture barriers, and jackets commonly used to insulate pipes and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications related to insulation and perform basic math.
• Proficiency in cutting, fitting, and installing insulation and its components.

Nice-to-haves

• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work closely in small or large job sites or group environments.
• Experience in the Oil and Gas Industry.
