About the position

The Journeyman Knowledge Manager at Bluemont Technology & Research, Inc. is responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining knowledge management (KM) systems, particularly utilizing SharePoint and other databases. This role focuses on enhancing information sharing and collaboration among various stakeholders, including government and intelligence community partners. The position requires training users, integrating information across systems, and continuously identifying opportunities for improvement in information exchange.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, update, and maintain KM systems such as SharePoint sites and databases.
• Advise the Government on the best utilization of KM tools.
• Enhance information sharing of various documents including analysis, assessments, and policies.
• Train system users, including IC partners, and provide user guides as needed.
• Integrate information with other databases as required.
• Utilize automated tools and visualizations to facilitate user access to information.
• Create and maintain virtual communities of interest for collaboration and information sharing.
• Develop simulations and exercises to test database readiness and communication channels.
• Identify opportunities to improve information exchanges across systems and sectors.
• Maintain and update a Customer-wide repository for instructions and policy documents.
• Build data repositories that generate visualizations for analysis and reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience or no degree with 9 years of experience in knowledge management.
• Experience with SharePoint and knowledge management systems.
• Current Top Secret / SCI clearance with Polygraph.
