About the position

The Journeyman Operations Research Analyst (Model Based) position at Sabre Systems involves providing systems engineering support for weapons systems at the Naval Air Station Patuxent River. The role focuses on applying scientific, mathematical, and statistical methodologies to analyze technological problems and support the acquisition process of aircraft, weapon, and integrated systems. The analyst will utilize model-based engineering practices and tools to design and execute experiments, tests, and evaluations, ensuring the technical performance and mission suitability of systems throughout their lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Support the Systems Engineering Department in technical research and development of technologies.
• Analyze and document the acquisition of Aircraft, Weapon, and Integrated Systems.
• Evaluate technical performance, mission suitability, and acquisition risks throughout the program lifecycle.
• Apply scientific, mathematical, and statistical methodologies to engineering problems.
• Utilize mathematical and computerized modeling for experiments, tests, and evaluations on weapons systems.
• Implement model-based systems engineering (MBSE) practices and tools.

Requirements

• Minimum two years of recent and relevant Systems Engineering experience with Model-Based Engineering applications.
• Experience using MBSE tools such as Cameo System Modeler, Cameo Enterprise Architect, Teamwork Cloud, and Cameo Collaborator.
• Active DoD secret clearance is required.
• Must be a US Citizen.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with SysML.
• Familiarity with the digital thread in engineering lifecycle.
