About The Position

Great Lakes Energy is seeking a Journeyman or Utility Lineworker to maintain, construct, and provide emergency restoration of electric distribution systems in the Hart district. This role emphasizes teamwork, professionalism, and a commitment to safety while working outdoors in various weather conditions. The position involves responding to emergency calls and performing power restoration and maintenance tasks, ensuring reliable electric service to the community.

Requirements

  • Completion of a DOL-certified apprenticeship training program with 7000 hours of on-the-job training.
  • Recognition as a utility or journeyman lineworker.
  • Possession of an unrestricted CDL with group A designation and air brake endorsement.

  • Higher-step apprentice status may be considered for applicants.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and construct electric distribution systems.
  • Provide emergency restoration of power during outages.
  • Respond to emergency calls and perform necessary repairs.

  • Participate in storm work and assist in other service areas as needed.
