The Journeyman Refrigeration Technician position is a full-time role based in Wenatchee, WA, with responsibilities primarily focused on the maintenance and repair of refrigeration, HVAC, and electrical systems. The technician will be expected to perform daily mechanical checks on various equipment, including those in the Mechanical Room, Roof, HVAC, EMS systems, refrigerated cases, and walk-ins. This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining all refrigeration and HVAC systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively. The technician will also be responsible for performing preventative maintenance tasks, conducting leak checks, and maintaining accurate records of inspections and repairs, including jurisdictionally applicable records and EPA forms. In addition to technical skills, the technician must manage communications for service calls promptly and maintain a high level of technical knowledge in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment. The role also involves administrative tasks such as ordering materials, writing purchase orders, and data entry for work reports. The technician must ensure compliance with all state and local codes by maintaining current licenses, inspections, permits, and certifications. A commitment to safety and cleanliness in the work environment is essential, as is the ability to work independently and respond to requests efficiently. The position requires flexibility, as the technician must be willing to work overtime, including weekends and holidays, when on call. The work environment is both indoor and outdoor, requiring physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor, including stooping, bending, twisting, lifting, and reaching. The technician will utilize various trade tools and office equipment throughout the workday, making it essential to have a valid driver's license and EPA Section 608 Universal Certification. Overall, this role is critical in ensuring the operational integrity of refrigeration and HVAC systems, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of the facilities.
