About the position
Ranger Roofing & Construction is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Journeyman Roofer - Sheet Metal Specialist to join their team. This role involves both new installations and the repair of existing roofing systems, with a focus on sheet metal roofing systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and a passion for high-quality craftsmanship, along with opportunities for career growth.
Responsibilities
- Apply and repair various roofing materials with a focus on sheet metal roofing systems.
- Perform demolition and tear-off of existing roofing systems for repair or replacement.
- Install and service sheet metal roofing systems according to project specifications.
- Operate and maintain hand and power tools effectively.
- Assist with the service and maintenance of pre-existing roofing and sheet metal systems.
- Assemble and repair sheet metal items by fastening seams and joints using welds, bolts, cement, rivets, solder, caulks, metal drive clips, and bonds.
- Follow and exceed all company safety procedures and protocols.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Sheet metal installer in commercial roofing.
- Strong knowledge of hand and power tools used in roofing work.
- Must be able to pass a drug test and background clearance for the projects.
- Reliable transportation to job sites is required.
- A valid ID is required.
- Must provide verifiable experience and contact information.
- Must be able to work at heights, lift 50+lbs, carry, bend, stand, and work in the elements all year.
Nice-to-haves
- Single-ply roofing systems (TPO) experience is a plus!
- Experience with forklifts, scissor lifts, and man lifts is a preferred skill.
- A driver's license is preferred, but not required.
- TWIC card is a plus and is preferred, but not required.
