About the position

GovCIO is seeking a Journeyman Systems Analyst with an active Secret clearance to join our team. This role is essential for coordinating between business and technology teams to ascertain system requirements and provide technical expertise in developing and supporting systems. The position requires a strong understanding of computer system capabilities and business processes, and it will be fully onsite in either El Paso, TX or Sterling, VA.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with business and technology teams to ascertain system requirements, including program functions and output requirements.
• Provides technical/functional expertise in identifying, evaluating, developing, and supporting systems.
• Analyzes business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems.
• Interfaces between systems architects/programmers and users to ensure IT designs meet end-user needs.
• Documents product/service requirements and develops test procedures to ensure user requests are fulfilled.
• Interacts with testing requirements to ensure traceability and test coverage.

Requirements

• High School diploma with 6 - 9 years of experience as a systems analyst or commensurate experience.
• Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain/hold DEA suitability.
