About the position

GovCIO is seeking a Journeyman Systems Analyst with an active Secret clearance to work onsite in either El Paso, TX or Sterling, VA. This role involves coordinating with business and technology teams to ascertain system requirements and providing technical expertise in developing and supporting systems. The analyst will analyze business processes, document requirements, and ensure that IT designs meet user needs, contributing to the transformation of government IT services.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with business and technology teams to ascertain system requirements, including program functions and output requirements.
• Provides technical and functional expertise in identifying, evaluating, developing, and supporting systems.
• Analyzes business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems.
• Interfaces between systems architects/programmers and users to ensure IT designs meet end-user needs.
• Documents product/service requirements and develops test procedures to ensure user requests are fulfilled.
• Interacts with testing requirements to ensure traceability and test coverage.

Requirements

• High School diploma with 6 - 9 years of experience as a systems analyst or commensurate experience.
• Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain/hold DEA suitability.
