About the position

GovCIO is seeking a Journeyman Systems Analyst with an active Secret clearance to join their team. This role is focused on transforming government IT by providing technical and functional expertise in system analysis and support. The position requires a strong understanding of business processes and IT needs, ensuring that technology solutions align with user requirements. The analyst will work closely with business and technology teams to develop and modify business information processing systems, ensuring effective communication between users and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with business and technology teams to ascertain system requirements, including program functions and output requirements.
• Provides technical and functional expertise in identifying, evaluating, developing, and supporting systems.
• Analyzes business and technical processes to formulate and develop new and modified business information processing systems.
• Interfaces between systems architects/programmers and users to ensure IT designs meet end-user needs.
• Documents product/service requirements and develops test procedures to ensure user requests are fulfilled.
• Interacts with testing requirements to ensure traceability and test coverage.

Requirements

• High School diploma with 6 - 9 years of experience as a systems analyst or equivalent experience.
• Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain/hold DEA suitability.
