About the position

We are seeking an experienced Tool and Die Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and manufacturing of tools and dies for various industrial applications. This role requires a strong understanding of tooling and die-making processes, as well as the ability to work with precision measuring instruments and CAM programming software. The successful applicant will be highly skilled in hand tools, schematics, and CAD design software such as SolidWorks. In this position, you will design and develop tools and dies using CAD software, including SolidWorks. You will utilize precision measuring instruments, such as calipers and micrometers, to ensure the accuracy of tooling and die-making processes. Operating and maintaining milling machines and other machine tools will be part of your daily responsibilities. You will also work with plastics injection molding equipment and understand the molding process. Collaboration with other departments is essential to ensure that tooling and die-making meet the requirements of the production process. You will conduct quality control checks on tools and dies to ensure they meet the required standards and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the production process. Keeping accurate records of all work performed and ensuring that all documentation is up to date is crucial. Additionally, maintaining a clean and organized work environment is expected.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Experience with hand tools and the ability to operate milling machines.
  • Understanding of plastics injection molding processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
