About the position
The Journeyperson Technician at Walser Automotive Group is a hands-on role focused on diagnosing and repairing vehicles at the St. Paul Subaru dealership. This position is integral to the service team, requiring expertise in automotive diagnostics and a commitment to quality and safety. Technicians will work with both OEM and aftermarket tools, ensuring that all repairs are completed efficiently and effectively while maintaining high standards of service.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnosis on customer and dealership vehicles.
- Use OEM and aftermarket scan tools to diagnose various vehicle issues.
- Communicate with the parts department regarding needed parts for repairs.
- Stay updated on the latest repair techniques and concerns for the OEM store.
- Complete all approved repairs from start to finish.
- Utilize video multi-point inspections for quality assurance.
- Ensure quality control through safe practices, including wearing safety glasses and appropriate footwear.
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- Automotive diagnostics experience
- Automotive degree and/or OEM certification preferred
