About The Position
Our Client is seeking a Data Architect to examine large data sets and use them to identify trends and reach meaningful conclusions that inform strategic business decisions. The Data Architect will follow Department IT processes and coordinate with other Department IT staff to ensure compliance with Department standards. This role involves participating in the analysis of current systems to gain an understanding of inputs and outputs, and it encompasses all phases of the development and implementation process. The Data Architect may act as a project manager on special projects, establishing and managing a formalized solution architect for data development and maintenance projects. The Data Architect will provide appropriate documentation for object design decisions, estimating assumptions, applets, and performance metrics. They will analyze assigned specifications, planning, designing, and developing solutions utilizing appropriate Internet/Intranet/Extranet architecture processes supporting a wide range of content. Participation in project-related meetings is essential, ensuring that meeting notes are produced and distributed as necessary. The Data Architect will serve as a senior subject matter expert, recommending best practices in solution architecture. This project does not require travel outside of Tallahassee, Florida, and the work shall be conducted onsite with the Department's OIT in Tallahassee, Florida. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IT work, particularly in architecture design, software development, and database management systems, with a strong focus on data analysis techniques and database structures.
