About the position

Abacus Technology is seeking a Jr. Acquisition Manager to support the planning, development, implementation, and management of a comprehensive systems support strategy at Robins AFB. This full-time position involves applying acquisition program management knowledge to various military systems and managing resources to meet project objectives effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge and experience in acquisition program management to military systems and procurement activities.
  • Manage and organize resources and personnel to meet task objectives efficiently.
  • Support the acquisition program management of full life cycle requirements and equipment.
  • Assist in developing various acquisition-related documents such as MOAs, SOOs, PWSs, SOWs, RFPs, and more.
  • Support the review of proposals as assigned by the customer.
  • Coordinate documentation between functional resources and consolidate inputs into common documents.
  • Provide assistance in risk management, project management, and logistics support.
  • Participate in process improvement activities as part of Integrated Product Teams and Working Groups.
  • Assist in collecting programmatic inputs for managing acquisition and upgrades to aircraft configurations.
  • Perform a non-voting advisory role for program source selections on acquisition requirements.

Requirements

  • 4+ years experience in acquisitions.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Knowledge and experience with USAF acquisition and DoD 5000.2 Series.
  • Understanding of DoD and Air Force acquisition regulations and processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Knowledge of logistics policy and guidance, including Title 10 United States Code Section 2466.
  • Understanding of ILS planning, development, and execution principles.
  • Working knowledge of logistics and maintainability programs.
  • Understanding of budgetary or financial analysis and life cycle cost analysis.
  • Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
