BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Core Java Developer for a remote opportunity in Charlotte, NC. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to contribute to a dynamic team and tackle complex technical challenges. The anticipated start date for this role is September 2, 2024, although this date is subject to change. The expected duration of the contract is six months, with the potential for conversion to a permanent position based on performance and business needs. As a Core Java Developer, you will be responsible for providing L3 Production Services support. This role requires a strong analytical mindset to effectively determine the root cause of technical issues. You will need to think broadly about technical problems, correlating current conditions with historical trends and employing general incident triage techniques to pinpoint issues. A solid background in Java and web technologies is essential, along with experience in writing database queries and executing Linux commands. In addition to your technical skills, you will be expected to have experience with application performance monitoring tools such as Introscope, AppDynamics, or Dynatrace. The ability to create and modify utility scripts in languages like Bash is also required. Familiarity with log aggregation tools like Splunk is necessary, and the ability to analyze Java heap and thread dumps is strongly preferred. Experience in creating automations for routine tasks using Python or Ansible will be advantageous in this role.
