About the position

The Jr. Data Analyst position at Changeis, Inc. is focused on supporting data-driven projects, particularly in the context of the Department of Homeland Security's SEVIS data. The role involves gathering and analyzing business requirements, conducting various testing phases, and utilizing ArcGIS for spatial data analysis and visualization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SEVIS data and be adept at ensuring data quality and compliance through thorough testing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, document, and analyze business and data requirements for reports, dashboards, and data sources.
  • Conduct unit testing, peer testing, and functional qualification testing to ensure that report requests and dashboards meet business requirements.
  • Perform functional, regression, and product owner testing to identify any deficiencies in the business requirements or data workflows.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure all data-related tasks are completed on time and meet customer needs.
  • Use ArcGIS to conduct geocoding and publish map dashboards for spatial data visualization.
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and compliance with established standards through thorough testing and validation processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in gathering and analyzing requirements.
  • At least 5 years of SEVIS-related experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency in unit testing, peer testing, and functional qualification testing for data reports and dashboards.
  • Experience with testing business requirements during functional, regression, and product owner testing phases, identifying deficiencies.
  • Strong experience with ArcGIS for geocoding and publishing map dashboards.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
