About the position

The Jr Data Base Engineer role is focused on the installation, configuration, and performance tuning of various database systems, primarily Oracle DB and MySQL, within a VMware environment. This position requires a candidate with 4-5 years of experience in database management and performance optimization, and it is based in Austin, TX, with an onsite requirement.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure Oracle DB and MySQL databases.
• Perform functional testing and performance comparison across different VMware platforms.
• Run critical CUJS and ensure optimal performance tuning of databases.
• Manage basic and advanced configurations for high availability (HA) in SQL Server.

Requirements

• 4-5 years of experience in database engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in Oracle DB and MySQL.
• Basic and advanced configurations for SQL Server.
• Experience with performance tuning of databases.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with PostgreSQL.
