About the position

HTC Global Services has an opening for the position of Jr. Developer (Ref# JD95GV) located in Troy, Michigan. This role involves working under direct supervision to develop and integrate IT solutions using appropriate development methodologies and standards. The Jr. Developer will be involved in various stages of the software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, design, development, coding, testing, quality assurance, post-implementation support, documentation, and user training. The position requires evaluating requirements for business application design, development, integration, and implementation. The developer will discuss and analyze solution feasibility with other IT infrastructure and technology teams. Identifying client requirements through detailed discussions and meetings with clients, functional users, functional/technical consultants, and product owners is crucial to collect requirement specifications, metrics, and key performance indicators. The role also involves reviewing system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested changes are possible within the existing system. Additionally, the Jr. Developer will analyze business problems in the existing system by collaborating with end users and work with various stakeholders to create solutions that adhere to all IT standards. Coordination with risk analysts is necessary to evaluate solutions thoroughly before proceeding with development. The developer will review technical design specifications and develop or modify solutions as per business requirements. Preparing test plans based on system requirements specifications, performing load tests to validate solution integrity under extreme use conditions, and inspecting test results for accuracy and completeness are also key responsibilities. The role includes ensuring that desired quality standards and system functionality are met, interacting with end-users to troubleshoot production issues, and improving overall system design based on user feedback. Finally, the developer will explain the end-to-end solution design to the business team for acceptance and train end users on the new solution, as well as review requirements specifications and prototype with users. The technologies used in this role include PowerShell, Python, R programming, Pega RPA/RDA (Robotic Desktop Automation), AWS, Git, SQL Server, MS Visio, and Windows.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation including Software Engineer, Programmer Analyst, or related experience.
  • 1 year of experience with PowerShell, Pega RPA, and R programming.
