Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate IT solutions using appropriate methodologies and standards for mainframe applications.
• Conduct requirement analysis and gather specifications through discussions with clients and stakeholders.
• Review system capabilities and analyze business problems in existing systems.
• Prepare flowcharts and diagrams to illustrate software architecture that meets client requirements.
• Develop detailed technical specifications for application software.
• Review design ideas and prototypes with product owners and the development team.
• Provide innovative solutions to complex system problems and ensure coding standards are met.
• Involved in performance tuning of long-running JCL jobs and review code changes.
• Prepare test plans based on system requirements and inspect test results for accuracy.
• Provide application technical support and maintenance activities for enhanced system functionality.
• Document test plans and maintain a log of all change requests.
• Train users in joint application development techniques.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation such as Technical Lead, Software Engineer, Software Developer, or Programmer Analyst.
• 1 year of experience with COBOL, PL/1, JCL, VSAM, IMS, and DB2.
