About the position

The Jr. Electrical Engineer position at Insight Global involves working closely with the Mechanical Engineering team to contribute to system-level design projects in a semiconductor testing company. The role requires managing multiple projects with competing priorities, focusing on rack systems and their sub-components, and ensuring that designs meet manufacturing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Participating in a cross-functional team to develop creative, cost-competitive design solutions for new products at a system and sub-system level.
• Interfacing with the Manufacturing team to ensure that systems meet design requirements.
• Conducting electrical design, including power distribution and system control branches.
• Assisting in component sourcing and qualification for new designs.
• Ensuring that technical documentation is accurately generated in accordance with company processes, including schematics, wiring diagrams, electrical drawings, and bills of materials.
• Producing system test acceptance documentation.
• Supporting electrical testing activities as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• 3-5 years' experience as an Electrical Engineer
• Proficiency in electrical design (power distribution, system control)
• Ability to interpret and create technical documentation (schematics, wiring diagrams, etc.)
• Experience with system-level design, especially in rack systems
• Familiarity working with higher voltage and higher currents
• Familiarity with circuit breakers safety
• Experience working with electrical boxes for distribution.
