About the position

BigBear.ai is seeking a Jr. ETL Developer to join our data engineering team and help us deliver high-quality data solutions to our clients. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and optimizing ETL processes using PostgreSQL and other tools. You will provide hands-on technical and functional support with PostgreSQL, including the design and development of complex SQL logic. Your contributions will support a business intelligence and analytics team with requirements and functional & technical testing, ensuring that our data solutions meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. As a Jr. ETL Developer, you will play a crucial role in improving data efficiency, quality, and reliability by implementing best practices and standards. You will troubleshoot and resolve data issues and performance problems, collaborating closely with other data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver effective solutions. Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical and functional support with PostgreSQL, including design and development of complex SQL logic
• Support a business intelligence and analytics team with requirements and functional & technical testing
• Improve data efficiency, quality, and reliability by implementing best practices and standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve data issues and performance problems
• Collaborate with other data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver solutions

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 0 to 2 years of experience; 6 to 8 years with no degree
• Active Top Secret security clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum one year of experience working with SQL or related database technology
• Proficiency in at least one ETL tool, such as Informatica, Talend, or SSIS
• Knowledge of data modeling concepts and data warehouse architecture
• Experience with data pipeline development and ETL testing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Informatica, technical testing, troubleshooting, and business intelligence systems
