About the position

Our marketing department is growing! Join us in Making Candy Fun as our new Jr Graphic Designer. R.M. Palmer Company, LLC designs, produces, packages, and ships seasonal chocolate novelties. Its products include filled chocolates, solid chocolates, chocolate bars and balls, chocolate cups and coins, chocolate patties, and seasonal products. In addition to their own branded products, the Company co-manufactures both seasonal and everyday products for other large branded companies. Today, the Company operates out of two manufacturing facilities and one distribution facility with approximately 600 full-time employees. R.M. Palmer Company, LLC has some of the most differentiated manufacturing capabilities in the industry as one of the only companies in the U.S. able to make hollow molded chocolate candy products and multicolor chocolate candy novelties. The Jr Graphic Designer will assist in designing and producing graphics for packaging, promotional materials, digital platforms, and social media. This role involves working closely with marketing and product teams to develop concepts and execute designs that effectively communicate product features and promotions. The designer will also be responsible for staying up to date on updated design trends, maintaining brand consistency across all design materials, coordinating pre-press preparations, and maintaining vendor relationships. Additionally, the designer will be involved in the development of trade advertising, sales collateral, and trade show exhibit graphics.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing and producing graphics for packaging, promotional materials, digital platforms, and social media.
  • Work with marketing and product teams to develop concepts and execute designs that effectively communicate product features and promotions.
  • Stay up to date on updated design trends.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all design materials.
  • Coordinate pre-press preparations and maintain vendor relationships.
  • Develop trade advertising, sales collateral, and trade show exhibit graphics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in graphic design, preferably in food or confectionary industry.
  • Software experience: Adobe Creative Suite, Fetch, Quark Xpress, WordPress.
  • 3D Design Skills is a plus.
