About the position

Integra Beauty is seeking a Jr. Human Resources Generalist to join our dynamic team in Groveport, Ohio. This role is pivotal in supporting the daily operations of the Human Resources department, which includes a variety of functions such as hiring, interviewing, administering pay and benefits, and enforcing company policies. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and communication skills, along with excellent negotiation and problem-solving abilities. As a Jr. HR Generalist, you will report directly to the Human Resources Manager and play a crucial role in ensuring that our HR policies and procedures are developed and implemented in accordance with relevant legislation and best practices. In this fast-paced environment, you will assist in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Your responsibilities will include reviewing policies and practices to ensure they align with current laws, assisting with recruitment processes, conducting reference checks, and issuing employment contracts. You will also be involved in investigating employee complaints, coordinating employee development plans, and managing performance management processes. Additionally, you will perform orientations for new employees, maintain the employee database, and prepare various reports related to HR activities. The role requires a proactive approach to keep up with the latest HR trends and best practices, ensuring that our organization remains competitive and compliant. Responsibilities

  • Assist with the daily functions of the Human Resource department including hiring and interviewing staff as needed.
  • Administer pay, benefits, and leave, and enforce company policies and practices.
  • Ensure all necessary human resource policies, programs, and procedures are developed and implemented in accordance with relevant legislation and best practices.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Assist with all People related matters with both Corporate and Distribution Center/Warehouse environments.
  • Participate in developing organizational guidelines and procedures.
  • Recommend strategies to motivate employees.
  • Conduct reference checks and issue employment contracts as part of the recruitment process.
  • Investigate complaints brought forward by employees.
  • Coordinate employee development plans and performance management processes.
  • Perform orientations and update records of new employees.
  • Manage the organization's employee database and prepare reports.
  • Produce and submit reports on general activities within the People function.
  • Assist with budget monitoring and payroll audits.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest People/HR trends and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent related experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in the Human Resources field.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Understanding of labor laws, including the latest releases for COVID-19 against CDC regulations; and employment equity regulations.
  • Efficient HR administration skills, with a deep understanding or affinity for People metrics and dashboards and digital People platforms.
  • Excellent record keeping skills, primarily with digital or electronic record keeping.
  • Fantastic knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Works comfortably under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Excellent computer literacy with capability in email, MS Office and related HR software, preferably ADP and Lever platforms.
  • Remarkable organizational and conflict management skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
