About the position

The Jr. Industrial Engineer at Tradebe Environmental Services will be responsible for analyzing, developing, designing, and executing engineering projects and technical initiatives across the company's Connecticut facilities. This role involves managing multiple engineering projects, collaborating with various stakeholders, and implementing changes to improve efficiency and environmental performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple engineering projects, ranging from $2K to multi-million dollar budgets.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, customers, external consultants, and contractors.
  • Analyse current processes to propose and implement changes for improved efficiency, productivity, and environmental performance.
  • Work with state-of-the-art treatment and recycling processes and technologies.
  • Execute technical initiatives and plant improvements to support overall company growth.
  • Partner with technical and production teams on the evaluation of existing processing lines and equipment to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide technical support to the day-to-day operations of the plants in collaboration with local production and maintenance teams.
  • Manage all aspects of new projects and initiatives including all phases of engineering, design, procurement, and construction.
  • Manage all procurement processes associated with the project, including preparation and issuing of requests for quotations, evaluation of alternative proposals, negotiation with suppliers, and management of the project budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preference for Industrial, Electrical and/or Automation, Mechanical, or Chemical disciplines).
  • 2+ years of experience in engineering and managing industrial projects, with expertise in project management of small to medium-sized projects and managing multiple contractors.
  • Experience in hazardous and non-hazardous waste treatment and recycling technologies.
  • Comprehensive experience in the entire project lifecycle, including design, capital control, construction, and commissioning.
  • Proficiency in commissioning plants and systems with high levels of automation and process instrumentation.
