About the position

The Jr Loan On-Boarding Specialist position is designed for individuals who are responsible for reviewing, processing, funding, and on-boarding various types of loans. This includes consumer non-real estate loans, consumer mortgage loans, commercial real estate loans, commercial and industrial loans, oil and gas loans, agricultural loans, and Small Business Administration (SBA) loans. The specialist will be tasked with reviewing loan documents to ensure lien perfection and will be responsible for on-boarding promissory notes according to the loan documents. This involves tracking recordings, updating documents as necessary, processing payments, and reconciling transactions. Additionally, the specialist will create tickets or keyboard post all general ledger transactions and communicate via email with lending staff as needed. Performance in this role will be measured by the ability to review and approve loans in compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, and loan policy requirements, as well as established policies and procedures. The specialist is expected to maintain professional business relations with bank personnel and provide assistance as needed. It is crucial that all required documentation is complete and accurate, and that service level agreements are maintained. Furthermore, management should be kept appropriately informed of area activities, ensuring that tasks are completed in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Review and process various types of loans including consumer non-real estate, consumer mortgage, commercial real estate, commercial & industrial, oil & gas, agriculture, and SBA loans.
• Ensure lien perfection by reviewing loan documents.
• On-board promissory notes per loan document, including tracking for recordings and updating documents as needed.
• Process payments as required and reconcile transactions.
• Create tickets or keyboard post all general ledger transactions.
• Communicate via email with lending staff as necessary.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Knowledge of loan document and real estate documentation.
• 3+ years of experience in credit, loan servicing, or administration operations, with a focus on loan covenant perfection, borrowing base calculations, DTI and LVT ratio calculations.
• Strong time management skills.
• Prior experience in a financial institution is helpful.
