About the position

The Industrial Jr. Maintenance Mechanic position is an entry-level role focused on assisting in the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of various machinery and equipment within a leading paper manufacturing facility. This role provides an excellent opportunity for growth and hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment, emphasizing safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance and repair of industrial production machinery and equipment (CNCs, Printing Machines) ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules.
• Support senior mechanics in diagnosing mechanical issues and implementing solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and hours worked.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify areas for improvement in equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Assist with inventory management of tools and spare parts.
• Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge of mechanical systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in mechanical maintenance is a plus.
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and equipment.
• Familiarity with electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics is desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and challenges.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus but not required.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends as needed.
