About the position

The Jr. Manufacturing Engineer at Actalent provides essential engineering support to manufacturing, quality, and sales operations for assigned products. This role focuses on identifying extrusion requirements, writing specifications, analyzing system performance, and ensuring compliance with specifications while documenting manufacturing processes and tracking products through validation and manufacturing phases.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for manufacturing processes and tooling.
• Support internal manufacturing, quality, and sales operations for all assigned projects.
• Identify manufacturing requirements and write specifications.
• Analyze system performance and design for specification compliance.
• Document manufacturing processes.
• Track and expedite products through phases of validation and manufacturing.
• Provide research and development support for all assigned processes.
• Present research as needed.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience working with manufacturing.
• Experience with polymer and plastic injection molding.
• Proficiency in new product development and extrusion manufacturing.
• Experience in medical device and plastic extrusion.
• Knowledge of polymer manufacturing, process improvement, and process development.
• Experience with capital equipment and capital projects.
• Mechanical engineering and process engineering skills.
• Knowledge of validation processes, including IQ, OQ, PQ.
