About the position

The Junior Operations Manager at 1-800-GOT-JUNK? is a dynamic role focused on overseeing daily operations while fostering a positive work culture among field crews. This position requires a proactive and self-motivated individual who can balance administrative tasks with hands-on fieldwork. The role involves training new staff, managing schedules, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, all while striving to meet revenue targets and enhance service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Senior Operations Manager in exceeding daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly revenue targets.
  • Supervise the daily fulfillment of scheduled jobs to ensure on-time service.
  • Manage the training schedule of new staff and help develop hourly employees' professional skills in sales, marketing, customer service, profitability, and safety.
  • Prepare and manage field crew staffing schedules.
  • Provide input to the Senior Operations Manager to build and implement new systems and processes.
  • Assist with fleet maintenance schedules, including inspections and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with all franchise health and safety requirements.
  • Provide positive mentorship and leadership to field crews.
  • Continuously drive and develop a positive culture among field crews.
  • Perform Truck Team tasks in the field as needed.

Requirements

  • Team management experience with hourly employee population and its performance.
  • Experience with performance metrics and process improvement.
  • Flexibility toward work schedule, depending on time of year and staffing levels.
  • A valid and clean driver's license, able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Experience with G-Suite and Google Drive (docs & sheets).
