About the position

The Jr Power Electronics Application Engineer position at Monolithic Power Systems (MPS) is designed for a highly self-motivated intern with a passion for hardware and a solid understanding of power electronics. The role involves supporting the development of solutions for high voltage applications, including DC/DC and AC/DC topologies, and working closely with the hardware department to validate power integrated circuits and develop new solutions.

Responsibilities

• Validate power integrated circuits to meet the required specifications
• Prepare hardware and software setups to measure all required parameters of the IC
• Develop schematic and PCB for new solutions
• Develop device modeling (spice)
• Work with IC design team to debug and troubleshoot the device under test
• Generate documentation and reports with all performed tests

Requirements

• MS in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
• Hands-on experience in verification and troubleshooting electronic circuits (firmware and hardware)
• Experience using electronic laboratory equipment including oscilloscope and spectrum analyzer
• Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Self-motivated and strong team player
