About the position

The Jr. Project Manager, IT at Estes Forwarding Worldwide (EFW) is responsible for assisting the Project Manager in managing technical project lifecycles, including scope, schedule, resources, quality, costs, and change management. This role involves developing project resource plans, status reports, and supporting technical asset inventory management while ensuring effective communication with customers, vendors, and implementation partners.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager with all aspects of technical project lifecycles.
  • Develop project resource plans and status reports.
  • Support technical asset inventory management.
  • Manage IT projects and project segments by specified objectives.
  • Report on project progress-to-plan and provide status updates.
  • Facilitate team meetings and direct project requirements.
  • Review and gather functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Create communication and risk plans, updating overall project plans.
  • Ensure development of products and services to customer requirements.
  • Act as liaison to different business units.
  • Prepare ongoing project status reports and schedules.
  • Support asset inventory tracking, including software licenses and equipment.
  • Track project progress in Project Management software (Asana).
  • Translate metrics into actionable intelligence.
  • Support evaluation and implementation of new technologies.
  • Manage communication related to development projects and tickets to end-users.
  • Manage and/or perform use case testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics preferred.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in project management.
  • Knowledge of standard project management methodology.
  • Proficient in Access, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel, including formula and Pivot Table creation.
  • Ability to write queries and build reports using MS Access and Excel.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management, organization, communication, and presentation skills.

Nice-to-haves
