About the position
The JR Sourcing Analyst will support the Operational Procurement Team by conducting RFPs for construction, engineering, and facilities categories. This role involves handling material RFQs using SAP, creating purchase orders, and supporting strategic sourcing efforts and compliance initiatives across the Utilities Business Unit. The analyst will focus on tracking spend with preferred suppliers and generating spend analysis reports to minimize costs while ensuring service quality.
Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of the 'Strategic Sourcing' process and mindset.
- Create, analyze, and manage Ariba sourcing projects, collaborating with the SAP IT team on technical requests to keep projects on schedule.
- Collaborate with Operations and Procurement on data gathering for RFPs.
- Assist in contract creation and execution.
- Expedite materials and services on executed contracts.
- Contribute to the continual development and optimization of operating procedures.
Requirements
- Experience in a 'Strategic Sourcing' environment.
- 2-4 years of procurement-related experience.
- 2+ years of experience in a Finance or Audit role is a plus.
- College graduate with a BS in a business-related major.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with procurement systems and systems management, with specific experience in SAP Ariba being a plus.
- Strong project management and process skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Strong bias for action.
