About the position

The Jr. Staff Accountant position at My Office Apps, Inc. (MOA) involves performing day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, month-end close, and balance sheet reconciliations. The role requires tracking revenue recognition based on the SaaS model and ensuring compliance with GAAP. The accountant will also assist in the development and maintenance of the company's ERP functionalities, contributing to continuous improvement efforts within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day accounting operations including journal entries and month-end close.
  • Produce journal entries and account reconciliations for cash, prepaid expenses, credit cards, banks, and accounts payable/receivable accruals.
  • Prepare and discuss the financial reporting package with executives and owners.
  • Track revenue recognition based on the SaaS model.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate billing and follow-up.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP.
  • Assist software engineers in modifying and developing accounting-related functionalities of the ERP solution.
  • Develop and maintain user guides and documentation for the ERP system.
  • Perform testing on suggested modifications and newly developed functionalities.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Full Cycle Accounting procedures.
  • Experience with accounting software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel, and proficiency in Google Calendar, Docs, and Word.
  • Ability to handle multiple requests professionally and positively.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Self-motivated and positive attitude.
  • Flexible team player willing to learn new tasks.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of work.
  • Problem-solving skills to address issues promptly.
