About the position

The Jr Videographer at Bass Pro Shops is responsible for assisting in the filming and editing of company video projects in a high-volume production environment. This role requires a diverse knowledge of industry-standard cameras and production equipment, along with basic Avid editing skills. The Jr Videographer will work closely with Producers, Videographers, and Editors to ensure projects are completed on time and meet high technical and aesthetic standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the filming and editing process for company video projects.
• Support production staff with various projects using production gear including cameras, lenses, and tripods.
• Work with the production team to build sets for production needs.
• Maintain production equipment before and after projects.
• Coordinate tracking of all production assets.
• Assist with research and ordering of equipment.
• Support reporting and tracking maintenance and repairs of production equipment.
• Ingest media into the company's archiving system and prepare media for Editors.
• Log footage and edit basic to intermediate level projects.
• Operate additional cameras as needed for production needs including live events.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; Trade, Tech or Vocational Education preferred.
• 2-4 years of experience in videography and editing.
• Thorough knowledge of Avid non-linear editing systems, specifically Avid Media Composer or similar.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team environment.
• Good organizational skills to manage multiple projects.
