About the position

The Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS) Operations Manager at Leidos is responsible for overseeing a team of network engineers in a dynamic environment that supports the Department of Defense (DoD). This role involves managing operations within the Global Network Support Center (GNSC) at Scott AFB, ensuring effective service delivery, and maintaining high standards of performance and security for network operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of diverse network support professionals.
• Oversee contractor and sub-contractor support staff for DISA-provided services in the 24x7 Global Network Support Center.
• Deliver direct technical support to government customers.
• Collaborate with functional managers and senior NOC management to monitor and adhere to processes and procedures.
• Provide situational awareness to government customers on issues impacting DoD networking systems.
• Identify areas of improvement and recommend procedural changes for effective outcomes.
• Ensure staff meet and exceed contractual requirements through direct interaction with the operations team.
• Assign tasks to contractor personnel and supervise ongoing technical efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent experience (8+ years).
• Prior experience overseeing staff in a 24x7x365 environment.
• Hold DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).
• Ability to work in a 24/7 operation.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals including routers, switches, firewalls, and Intrusion Protection Systems.
• Currently possess an active Secret security clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• ITIL certification.
• Prior NOC experience.
• Experience with Juniper, Palo Alto, and Cisco devices.
• Understanding of Government Network Operations.
