About the position

The JRSS Operations Manager will oversee a team of network engineers at Scott AFB, managing operations within a complex system that supports the Department of Defense. This role involves ensuring efficient network operations, providing technical support, and maintaining high standards of service delivery in a 24/7 environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of diverse network support professionals.
• Oversee contractor and sub-contractor support staff for DISA-provided services in the Global Network Support Center.
• Deliver direct technical support to government customers.
• Collaborate with functional managers and senior NOC management to monitor and improve processes and procedures.
• Provide situational awareness to government customers regarding issues impacting DoD networking systems.
• Identify areas for improvement and recommend procedural changes for effective outcomes.
• Ensure staff meet and exceed contractual requirements through direct interaction with the operations team.
• Assign tasks to contractor personnel and supervise ongoing technical efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline with 8+ years of related experience.
• Prior experience overseeing staff including NOC Analysts, Subject Matter Experts, and Network Engineers in a 24x7x365 environment.
• Hold DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE, or equivalent) prior to start date.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 operation.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals including routers, switches, firewalls, and Intrusion Protection Systems.
• Currently possess an active Secret security clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• ITIL certification.
• Prior NOC experience.
• Experience with Juniper, Palo Alto, and Cisco devices.
• Understanding of Government Network Operations.
