Responsibilities

  • Prepare notices and notify counsel and parties involved in court cases.
  • Contact prisons and jails to arrange for inmate appearances via phone or video-conferencing.
  • Maintain the court calendar for the Circuit Court.
  • Perform case management duties while adhering to case processing guidelines.
  • Monitor case deadlines to ensure timelines are met.
  • Draft orders and amendments in court cases.
  • Perform file management while maintaining strict confidentiality for various case types.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in paralegal, criminal justice, legal assistant, or closely related field with three years of clerical work experience.
  • High school diploma/equivalent with five years of clerical or office support work experience.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may also be considered.
