You must be available full-time, willing to commit to a minimum of two years of employment, exhibit a professional demeanor, and be attentive to detail. Paralegals, legal assistants, and administrative court employees are encouraged to apply. In-person availability is required, although remote work may be available occasionally. General Summary: Performs various duties related to the operation of the Circuit Court and assists in completing judicial functions. Must ensure that necessary legal documents relative to Court proceedings are in order. Opens and closes the courtroom, maintains order and decorum, operates video conferencing and recording systems, admits participants for virtual hearings, escorts and swears in jury members and witnesses. Provides information and assistance to the judge, court personnel, attorneys, and the general public. Responds to inquiries and assists the public. Reviews legal documents to verify accuracy and/or conformity with court rules. Enters official court records into computer systems, makes official entries to document daily court proceedings, prepares orders, files documents, and follows established practices. Utilizes current county-wide and/or Court specific software to complete assignments. Required Minimum Qualifications: Hold a degree from or currently attending an accredited college of law in a curriculum leading toward a Juris Doctor degree.
