About the position

The Junior Accountant at Lamps Plus is responsible for maintaining the company's financial transactions with accuracy and ensuring compliance with legal and company regulations. This role involves responding to chargebacks and preparing necessary documentation to support financial processes.

Responsibilities

• Researches cardholder disputes and provides necessary supporting documentation to remedy chargebacks
• Prepares data sheet for all fixed assets for input into the subledger
• Maintains a schedule of capitalized assets with supporting documents
• Assists in the monthly preparation of schedules of reconciliation for fixed assets, capital expenditures, prepaids and overhead costs
• Reconciles bank accounts by gathering and balancing information
• Responsible for maintaining the daily reconciliation of credit card deposits, including researching variances as needed
• Assists with the reconciliation of other general ledger accounts as needed
• Assist with the annual audit by providing documents and schedules as requested
• Performs other ad hoc analyses as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting (or related field)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong sense of urgency, time-management skills and attention to detail
• Ability to learn quickly and professional attitude
